Our easyCMS Player is a purpose-built Android box for digital signage: enough power to run video and images smoothly on a screen that stays on all day, at a price that makes sense per screen rather than per rack.

Why we sell hardware at all

Most of the problems that reach us on a new installation are not software problems. They are a consumer TV stick that sleeps at midnight, a player that does not come back after a power cut, or a device someone has to physically visit to update. A box we have configured and tested removes that whole category of first-week problem, which is the only reason we bother stocking it.

If you already have suitable hardware, use it. easyCMS runs on Windows, Android, LG webOS Signage and Samsung Tizen, and a 99€ licence will be cheaper than this. The player buying guide walks through that decision honestly, including the cases where you should not buy from us.

What “plug and play” means here

The player arrives with the app installed, the CMS address and key already entered, and a display licence activated on the device. You connect power, connect HDMI, put it on the network, and the screen starts playing what you have scheduled. There is no pairing code to type in with a TV remote and no licence to apply afterwards.

Watch out You still need an easyCMS account for the CMS itself, which is where you build layouts and schedule content. If this is your first screen, add the 49€ account to the same order.

Running it

It is built for 16 to 24 hours of use a day, which covers a shop, an office, a school corridor or a restaurant. For genuinely continuous round-the-clock operation, or for anything in an unheated or dusty environment, talk to us first and we will tell you whether this is the right box rather than selling you the wrong one.

Setup, network requirements and troubleshooting are documented in Android player setup and network requirements.

Before you buy

Questions people ask about this

Do I still need an easyCMS account?

Yes. The player is the box that drives the screen; the account is the CMS you build and schedule content in. If this is your first screen, buy the 49€ account as well, which includes its own display licence for a second screen.

Does the price really include a licence?

Yes. One display licence is included and already activated on the device, so the screen it drives needs no further purchase. That is what makes it plug and play.

Can I run it 24 hours a day, every day?

It is built for 16 to 24 hours a day. If you need genuinely continuous round-the-clock operation, contact us first and we will tell you honestly whether this is the right box.

Can I use hardware I already own instead?

Yes, and often you should. easyCMS runs on Windows, Android, LG webOS Signage and Samsung Tizen. If you have a spare mini PC or a signage panel with a player built in, buy a 99€ licence instead of this.
