Set Up the Web OS Player on Your LG Screen
Many LG Signage monitors can run the easyCMS player themselves, with no box behind the screen. Here is what you need, which models work, and where to find the full steps.
If your screen is an LG Signage monitor running webOS 3.0 or newer, it can play easyCMS on its own, set up with the remote control. The full walkthrough is in our LG webOS player setup guide.
What you need
An LG Signage monitor
From LG’s Signage series, running webOS 3.0 or newer. Ordinary LG TVs for the home do not work.
A network connection
A cable is best. Set the right time and time zone on the screen before you start.
Your CMS address and key
Both are in your welcome email, and Studio’s Add a screen page shows them too.
A licence for the screen
One display licence per screen, see pricing. The code for the LG player arrives in your purchase confirmation email.
A USB stick, if you like
The player installs from the internet or from a USB stick. Either way works.

How it goes
- With the remote, open the screen’s server settings and install the easyCMS player, from the internet or a USB stick.
- Restart the screen, then type your CMS address and key on the connect screen.
- Claim the screen from Add a display on a phone or computer using the same internet connection.

A screen’s own processor is more modest than a separate player. If your designs play several videos at once, an Android player behind the same screen will run them more smoothly.
